Karen Wallace gave
me this idea when I was at the GA K Conference. I loved it because it was simple, easy, inexpensive, and
could be used in a variety of ways.
Write letters on one side of the clothespins with one color of
marker. Write numerals on the
opposite side with a different color.
Children can use their little pincer muscles as they:
*Put the clothespins
in alphabetical order.
*Put the
clothespins in numerical order.
*Make words with
clothespins.
*Use the
clothespins for place value.
What else can you
think of?
What about clipping a real word onto green paper and clipping a nonsense word on red paper that rhymes. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to be at the Early Childhood Conference at UW Stout this year? I will be presenting there and would love to see you.....AGAIN! Amber
