Here's another video by K.J.  Do you feel like you're just hanging out with me?

LETTER BEARS

Why? letters, numbers, shapes, sight words, colors, names, etc.

What? poster board or heavy paper, markers

How? Cut out 26 bears using the attached pattern. Write letters on the bears and shuffle them up. While waiting for children to join you for an activity hold up the bears as you sing this song to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.”

(First letter) bear, letter bear, what do you see?
I see (second letter) looking at me…

More? Use the bears to dismiss children to line up or go to a center. When they see the bear with the letter their name starts with they may be dismissed.

Make color bears or bears with children’s names at the beginning of the year.

Make a new set of bears each month to reinforce skills your children need to master, such as sight words, math facts, etc.
